Where the parties stand on AV

parties stand

What I have tried to do is to identify where the parties stand on AV. For example the Tory Party is mainly against it, but there are some tories that support it. The Labour Party are split, but probably more support it than oppose it etc.

I have then put the party logos onto a chart indicating where I think they stand. If anyone thinks I need to adjust the location of any particular political party (or add another) can they please either add a comment or email me at parliament.

If it is a party I don't already have then can I please also have a link to the logo.

Interesting survey results from MORI, which put the party voters like this: Con - Yes 22% No 53%; Lab Yes 53% No 29%; LD Yes 60% No 23%.

On that basis, the LDs should be much closer to the centre ground. Labour will not be campaigning either for or against AV.

I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganizing; and a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while producing confusion, inefficiency, and demoralization. But has to have been originated by someone. The web link shown goes through the derivation which appears to be more linked to an anonymous British Soldier WW2 than any Roman or Greek General called by a name perming 2 out of (Gaius, Galus, Petronius and Arbiter).
