GDP Uncertainty

The GDP calculation underpins the budget. This image from the Bank of England website:

Demonstrates the level of current uncertainty (actually February uncertainty). I have saved it on my computer and if the image disappears I can put it up somewhere else.

The problem about the budget is that this component drives the aggregate financial position.

After yesterdays Budget I predict that widely spoken double dip recession is no where close, more like a rollercoaster of a recession. might be worth buying shares in Ebay as everyone tightens their belts and ends up having to sell their ways and means.

What is even more illuminating is to go back though past forecasts and compare with what actually happened!

Why are babies born young? This sounds like an odd question. People would say "of course babies are born young". However, this goes to the core of the question of human (or animal) development. Why is it that as time passes people develop initially through puberty and then for women through menopause and more generally getting diseases such as sarcopenia, osteoporosis, diabetes and cancer, but most of the time babies start showing no signs of this.
