Bring the trophy to Brum

We do need to encourage English and British teams to see the merit of parading in Birmingham. Birmingham is far more accessible to the much of the country than London and we would do a better job than Trafalgar Square.

"When we win the world cup - bring the trophy to Brum", says John Hemming MP.

"I have been talking to the FA about parading the trophy in Birmingham when England win the world cup. We can do these things properly.", he said.

Surely this can't be yet another cheap political stunt.

Oh. Yes it can.

Have you got the agreement of Whitless for this parade, because he'll need some time to think about it. I'm not sure that being a world-leading, winning City is the image that he's after for Birmingham.

But has to have been originated by someone. The web link shown goes through the derivation which appears to be more linked to an anonymous British Soldier WW2 than any Roman or Greek General called by a name perming 2 out of (Gaius, Galus, Petronius and Arbiter).
