Careful visiting the UK whilst pregnant. They just might take your baby for adoption.

This story in The Telegraph is a step beyond the normal abuses in the family courts (and court of protection). This was a pregnant mother visiting the UK for a training course lasting only two weeks. It ends up with her baby being taken through a forcible caesarean and then placed for adoption for the usual spurious reasons that are used.

Oddly enough last night I had another case of someone who was a foreign mother having her children taken for the system whilst she is deported. This is much like the case from which I highlighted a JR decision earlier this year. Mum was deported and the child kept.

The Italian case is one about which more will be heard. Also the one raised with me last night. The USA case is one which has had some attention.

In essence families count for nothing in the modern family court. The "best interests of the child" are "paramount" which means that what the social workers say goes. If a social worker does not say what the management want then the social worker can be fired as had happened. There is no independence in the system and family ties carry no substantial weight.

I did speak to Michael Gove about this on Wednesday. I do not think that he has this as an objective. It is clearly an unintentional consequence of the government policy of the last 12 years or so. It is, however, a real consequence and has to be brought to an end.

Additionally this video raises questions as to whether powers are being used to undermine demonstrations or appropriately. I am not opposed to fracking (we have use fracking for a long long time) However, I don't think child protection procedures should be used to stop people demonstrating. It is entirely possible that there is an appropriate use of powers, but it is also unlikely.

I am so pleased you are taking up this horrific case. I shall be writing to my MP about it. Social services are in an abysmal state.

Surely this must be a criminal offence: assault and battery, perhaps. I hope the Italian authorities take it up very vociferously.

Aghast...horrified...I can't find the words....
What in God's name is happening to our country, Mr Hemming?
This comments section should be exploding with comments, yet I'm only the 5th. in almost 24hrs.
Social Services' Management needs deep investigation.
I implore you not to be intimdated (and you will be) into 'letting this go...'.
Bellow this at Mr. Bercow, if you have to.
If Social Services get away with this, they can do anything in future.
Unbelievable...

Thanks for your committment in helping our fellow countrywoman. It's really remarkable. And I'm afraid Italian authorities won't do that much. Grazie :-)

Good luck Mr Hemming.
This case is truly eery.
It is good to know that you are supporting the rights of those affected by mental health issues.
I wish you well in your endeavour to support this unfortunate lady and her child.

I'd like to say I'm surprised and shocked and horrified at this, but sadly I'm not. I am a mother form the UK who has had her child stolen, social services are fully aware of the situation, they had a hand in it and because they have made their final decision, my rights or the rights of my child don't even matter. No one will help me. I hope you can help this woman, I hate to think of someone else being forcibly separated from their child through no fault of their own.

Saddened by this story although more discerningly, not shocked. What would be regarded as a blatant 'evil' in civilized society has become the 'norm' in the UK. Individuals within the process cannot be blamed for they are simply the cogs of the system. In most cases they escape impunity because they are 'just following orders'. Terrifyingly those 'orders' are fully legal because as things stand, they are acting within the law, the inner workings of the family courts shrouded in secrecy. Child protection services abroad are horrified by what occurs in the UK, we have reverted to medieval times perpetuated by kangaroo courts.

The UK Social Services system is corrupt, it is rife and infested with corrupt charlatans, playing at being saviours to justify their behaviour. There are many, including the media who know what is going on but they keep quiet. We caught a social worker working with an NHS Safeguarding HV they lied and lied and lied repeatedly, not just to their colleagues but also to the Metropolitan Police in order to facilitate and justify the removal of our at the time 8-week old son. Each time we proved they lied about something they invented a new lie. But in the end we submitted all our evidence to the Metropolitan Police and proved our case beyond a reasonable doubt. Social Services and NHS Safeguarding could not work without the enforcement arm of their crusade against us. The police honourably dropped out of a chase that was simply to kidnap a child for ulterior motives and not the one's the police had been told, because it was seen that we had told the truth all along. The SC and HV were trying to prove that our son is urgently unwell, in a critical condition and in need of immediate emergency treatment for conditions we were ignoring because we are allegedly negligent parents. We proved to the police that Ealing council lied repeatedly. Now they are maliciously refusing to remove all the incorrect information from our son's medical files. But at the end of the day they lied and their attempt to take our son failed. We are currently preparing the mother of all individual cases against everyone who conspired to steal our son. This case will open a can of works in the UK, and people will be shocked to see what these types think they can get away with. I am writing a book too. It is explosive.

Its the long genes that stop working

People who read my blog will be aware that I have for some time argued that most (if not all) diseases of aging are caused by cells not being able to produce enough of the right proteins. What happens is that certain genes stop functioning because of a metabolic imbalance. I was, however, mystified as to why it was always particular genes that stopped working. Recently, however, there have been three papers produced: Aging is associated with a systemic length-associated transcriptome imbalance Age- or lifestyle-induced accumulation of genotoxicity is associated with a generalized shutdown of long gene transcription and Gene Size Matters: An Analysis of Gene Length in the Human Genome From these it is obvious to see that the genes that stop working are the longer ones. To me it is therefore obvious that if there is a shortage of nuclear Acetyl-CoA then it would mean that the probability of longer Genes being transcribed would be reduced to a greater extent than shorter ones.
