HHCTRL.OCX error and online windows updates

The link is to a Microsoft support page. One of the key things with an automatic updating system is to ensure that you don't update with bugs. Someone's testing has gone astray and probably millions of computers across the world are going wrong in a slight manner when they are started.

It would be interesting to know how many people are affected by this. I don't think we will find out, however.

I can understand about how Marvin the Paranoid Android felt. There I am trying to drive massive change in UK Public Family Law through the Court of Appeal, but what are people interested in ... how to get rid of the HHCTRL.OCX error.

C'est la vie. BTW the solution does work.

Dear John, thank you, seems to have worked OK I think. Windows updated caused a snag on my Realtek software.

John,
I tried other links in Google and ended up with software installed that I didn't want. Your link to the hot fix worked great.
Thanks!

Ditto to Vaughan & MUCH thanx. Now why doesn't MS just broadcast update this just like they do everything else? Art in Texas.

I think it is probably a timing thing. To broadcast an update probably requires a certain amount of planning. This update is required immediately.

Why are babies born young?

Why are babies born young? This sounds like an odd question. People would say "of course babies are born young". However, this goes to the core of the question of human (or animal) development. Why is it that as time passes people develop initially through puberty and then for women through menopause and more generally getting diseases such as sarcopenia, osteoporosis, diabetes and cancer, but most of the time babies start showing no signs of this. Lots of research into this has happened over the years and now I think it is clear why this is. It raises some interesting questions. Biological youth is about how well a cell functions. Cells that are old in a biological sense don't work that well. One of the ways in which cells stop working is they fail to produce the full range of proteins. Generally the proteins that are produced from longer genes stop being produced. The reason for this relates to how the Genes work (the Genome). Because the genome is not gettin
