Russia today on adoption in the UK

This links to a radio programme (in English) about forced adoption. Note the story recently in polish express.

I am not commenting on Friday's events as yet beyond what I said in The House. I had been assured by people that the government would allow the bill to pass, but this did not happen.

The bill seems quite reasonable although I'm not too keen on the grandparents' bit. Where can I find your commments in the House?

The bill was more than reasonable and covered a lot of issues that would make for a better family justice system.
There were a few comments made in the house that questioned parts of the bill and questioned whether making things more complex would hinder matters. I don't think those in the house quite understood that you are not seeking to make things more complex, rather more transparent.
Please do not give up on your draft bill John, it is sorely needed to help address issues in the UK Family Justice System ...

Followers of my blog will have seen the NHS question about how many reorganisations have we had. We've yet another. The number of PCTs (Primary Care Trusts) nationally is to halve. This means merging East and North. (and then probably HoB and south). It would be nice if people would stick with one structure. The web link shown goes through the derivation which appears to be more linked to an anonymous British Soldier WW2 than any Roman or Greek General called by a name perming 2 out of (Gaius, Galus, Petronius and Arbiter).
