Ted Jeory and Christopher Bookers' articles today

This comment piece by Ted Jeory compares the cover up in Hillsborough to the day to day cover ups in the family courts.

This article by Christopher Booker looks at how a foreign country is concerned about what happens in the English and Welsh Family Courts.

We should really be able to sort these things out on the basis of complaints raised by victims of the system in the UK. However, if it really takes getting a coalition of countries together to demand change in the UK then so be it.

Booker has recently been attacking a local authority for intervening in a case where a child was, inter alia, injected with morphine by its parents. Would you not concede at least that this is taking the anti social worker crusade a little too far?

I think I know about the case. The case is one where there are lots of allegations on different sides and I accept a criminal conviction. I am myself unsure as to the truth in respect of this case. Criminal Convictions are not necessarily 100% reliable. However, on the principle I do think were it to be true that parents have injected a child with morphine then intervention is valid.

Keep up the good work. As a British citizen I am appalled and embarrassed at this miss-carriage of justice. I wish our own government would take these issues as seriously as the Slovaks do. Those responsible for the complete disruption to the lives of those children and their parents must be held accountable for their actions. Let's hope sanity prevails at tomorrow's appeal ruling. Thanks for being the only MP to speak out against these ridiculous failings and over-reactions.

NHS reorganisation No 3,493,233

Followers of my blog will have seen the NHS question about how many reorganisations have we had. We've yet another. The number of PCTs (Primary Care Trusts) nationally is to halve. This means merging East and North. (and then probably HoB and south). It would be nice if people would stick with one structure. There is a quotation ( Which sadly does not appear to be a true quotation ) We trained hard . . . but it seemed that every time we were beginning to form up into teams we would be reorganized. I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganizing; and a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while producing confusion, inefficiency, and demoralization. But has to have been originated by someone. The web link shown goes through the derivation which appears to be more linked to an anonymous British Soldier WW2 than any Roman or Greek General called by a name perming 2 out of (Gaius, Galus, Petronius and Arbiter). From the...
